Waking up early

Waking up early is very difficult. Especially when it's sudden - you know, after days and days of getting up around noon, suddenly there's an urgent need to get up at 8am. It's got to be one of the hardest things about starting term again. It's not something I'm looking forward to.

I have just checked my allocation on the Med website (aka 'flying fish') and I have been allocated a GP in Balga. It's not too far away, but there seems to be a perception in Perth that Balga is full of poor people, delinquents, crack addicts etc. So it should be interesting!

All of us starting the year with GP have to meet at the university department of general practice in claremont. At 9am. Which means I actually need to get up at 7.30 in order to leave at 8am. Bloody hell!

And to top it off, Arsenal suck at the moment. In a terrible run of form, losing to Bolton last week and with injuries galore. Gilberto looks out for the season, Edu still has a broken toe and will most likely leave the club; Henry is off form, as is Vieira and Pires and Reyes. What is going to happen? Chelsea are 10 points ahead on 58 and Man Utd are closing in behind us on 47. It could be a disasterous season.

And next season, the last one at Highbury, Arsenal will wear a claret strip.
I'm still in shock.
